Lindenwood University is proud to announce the 32nd annual meeting of the Research-to-Practice Conference in Adult and Higher Education (formerly known as the Midwest Research to Practice Conference).  This year the R2P conference has been revitalized with a new name, the additional strand of trends and issues in higher education, as well as a modified schedule.  We welcome new presenters who never experienced the past Midwest Research to Practice Conference as well as long-time contributors to this unique venue.  A new preconference for faculty will provide a forum for discussion of issues and best practices in supervising and teaching of graduate students.

This conference provides a collegial atmosphere for graduate students who are encouraged to submit a roundtable or poster proposal for research in progress.  A preconference targeted specifically to master's and doctoral students will be held the morning of Friday, Sept. 20.  In addition, an award is presented to the best graduate student paper.

The conference provides a forum for practitioners and researchers to discuss practices, concepts, evaluation, and research studies to improve practice in the education of adults. Through discussion and collaboration, participants contribute toward the realization of a more humane and just society through lifelong learning.

The 2013 conference, which will be held on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., offers opportunities for dialogue and reflection on the dynamic relationship between learning and life, on both current and future opportunities for educators who work with adult learners in a variety of educational settings including higher education.
